The scent of Lilacs is in the air, and we're celebrating Lilac Time this May with some great programming! Take a stroll through the park and stop in to the Library for one of our fun events:

PLANT A STORY
Tue, May 15 • 10:00am - 10:45am
Drop-in family storytime
While overlooking the expansive gardens of Lilacia Park from the Library’s Plaza, we'll listen to a spring story, paint a flower pot, and plant a seed so you can watch it grow at home.
If the weather is uncooperative, this program will be held in the Auditorium.

ILLINOIS GARDENING WITH NATIVE PLANTS
Sat, May 19 • 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Registration required
Our state landscape has radically changed. Learn from expert Raymond Wiggers how to select the best native plants for your gardening and landscaping plans.

LILAC PARADE DAY!
Sun, May 20 • All Day
Library closed
Helen Plum Library will be closed on Sun, May 20 to celebrate the Lilac Parade! Be sure to grab a good seat and wave at our float as we go by!
