Support the Library
Although we are fortunate to be well supported by the residents of Lombard, we are also always appreciative of other kinds of assistance. How can you help?
First, you can join the Friends of the Library and serve on their governing board or committees. The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group that helps the Library in many ways by raising funds and providing direct volunteer assistance. Learn more about The Friends of the Library
You can volunteer for the Library in various ways.
- We are always appreciative of gifts, whether of books or monetary donations. Learn more about Donations and Gifts
- Speaking up for the Library is a powerful way of helping us. Communicating with legislators in Springfield or Washington, or even your neighbors right here in Lombard, helps to further the cause of our Library. Learn more about Library Advocacy
- Finally, consider serving on the Library Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected at large from residents of Lombard, and provide governance of the Library, establish policies, and do strategic planning. Learn more about the Library Trustees
