Read Across America

Drop-in activities

Friday, March 2

Each Year, the National Education Association sponsors Read Across America, with the hope that “every child in every community” will celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. This “day to celebrate reading” was launched in 1997, and each year the momentum has grown. We are joining in the 2012 celebration and invite you to stop by the Library and read a story or two with your child. We will have a cart of very special books reserved all day long for sharing in the library, including some of our favorite storytime pop-up books. Participants will receive a Seuss themed prize or sticker, so be sure to stop by the Youth Services desk and let us know you are participating in the Read Across America celebration! No registration needed.
