“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” – Anne of Green Gables

At the Helen Plum Library we love Octobers and to celebrate we started a new storytime session reading about Trees. As you look around town you might have seen the leaves changing colors or squirrels running around getting their homes ready for colder weather, all signs Fall is here.

Fall is a great time to talk to your child about the changes you might see in the leaves, are their different colors, different shapes? Look for different leaves at the park or in your backyard and then check out our Early Literacy Pinterest Board for activities and art projects to do at home.

Don’t forget to add the books read in storytime to your 1000 Books Before Kindergarten log.

See you next time!
