Temporary Librarian – Adult Services

Helen Plum Library is seeking an enthusiastic Librarian to join our Adult Services team in a temporary position. The duration of this position will be a maximum of 12 months. The right candidate will excel at listening, understanding, and communicating with library patrons and fellow staff. Knowledge of technology utilized in public libraries is essential.
Responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent and relevant customer service at the Adult Services reference desk
  • Promoting library services, programs, and resources
  • Providing reference, reader’s advisory services, and technical assistance to patrons
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may include collection development and weeding projects

Required: ALA/MLIS degree completed or in progress, strong computer skills, and a dedication to outstanding customer service.

Hours: 19 hours per week including some evening and alternating weekend shifts plus additional rotating Sunday shifts.

Beginning salary: $22.17/hr. DOQ.

Circulation Lead Page

Helen Plum Library is seeking an energetic, positive, and detail oriented individual to work as our Lead Page. This person will have excellent people skills, play well within a team and multitask with accuracy. This position includes sorting and shelving materials, managing the Used Book Sale, assisting the Department Head with various projects and training new Paging staff.

Required: Paging and leadership experience is a must

Hours: Part time (28 hours a week)

Pay Rate: $11.25 DOQ
