Celebrate National Library Week at HPL

Posted on:

The Library is a joyful place where visitors of all ages can connect, discover, and grow. For this year's National Library Week, we're taking inspiration from the 2026 National Library Week Honorary Chair: award-winning librarian, author, and new host of the children’s program Reading Rainbow, Mychal Threets. "Find Your Joy" is a message that is ever-present in Threets’ recurring viral videos and in his debut picture book, I’m So Happy You’re Here: A Celebration of Library Joy. We're inviting you to HPL to enjoy programs, books, and even a few surprises from Mon, Apr 20-Fri, Apr 24. Here's how you can join in:

Visit the Library for Surprise Swag

From Mon, Apr 20-Fri, Apr 24, stop by any service desk to snag a surprise swag item. We'll have a new item each day, and supplies are limited, so grab one while you can!

Check Out a Book About Books
