Cricut Machines are Now Available!

Posted on:

Please note: These machines are temporarily unavailable while we undergo some internal transitions. Thank you for your patience!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Cricut Maker 3 electronic cutting machines! Sessions are now available through the Studio 411 Equipment Reservation Site. This debut will feature two service model options, allowing patrons to use our Cricut Maker 3 electronic cutting machines based on their familiarity and comfort with the technology.

Cricut 101 for Beginners
If you’re new to Cricut, join our hands-on demo to complete a simple project - we'll work together to decorate a mini notebook with a vinyl decal!

Reserve Time on a Cricut
Have Cricut experience? Reserve a time for independent use. We'll provide tools, cutting mats, and basic instructions. Users should expect minimal assistance and must bring their own materials.

Both types of reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we encourage you to check back as we add more sessions to the calendar.

Please note: Studio 411 is for Helen Plum Library cardholders who are 18 years and older. To use Studio 411 equipment, you must submit a completed User Agreement in person at the Adult Services desk on the second floor. Your Helen Plum Library card and a valid form of ID are also required when you submit your paperwork.

FAQs about Cricut Demos and Reservations

  • Who can request reservations and demos?
Helen Plum Library cardholders who are 18 or older are eligible to participate in Studio 411 programming.

  • How many requests can I submit in a week?
Due to demand and limited availability, we are restricting the number of requests to one service per week – you must choose between a Cricut demo or a reservation. You can only take the Cricut 101 demo once.

  • Do I need to bring a computer? Do I need a personal Cricut account?
Patrons must use the provided laptop to operate their reserved Cricut. Demo participants do not need to set up a personal account ahead of time, but patrons with reservations are encouraged to do so and should plan to have a design prepared ahead of their appointment.
Studio 411 holds a subscription to Cricut Access, which patrons are welcome to use during a reservation. We'll share the login credentials when you arrive at your table.

  • I want to use a different machine – how do I reserve something else?
Additional machines will become available throughout the year – Studio 411 will send our newsletter notifications whenever we add new equipment to our reservation system.
