REQUEST FOR BIDS

Helen M. Plum Memorial Public Library District (HPL) is looking for prospective bidders interested in bidding on the upcoming project for the New Helen Plum Public Library (HPL), Lombard IL. HPL will be accepting sealed lump sum trade bids for Bid Package #3 which includes the following: – BP#3-03 Concrete; 04 Masonry; 06a Carpentry / General Trades; 06b Millwork / Casework; 07a Waterproofing & Sealants; 07b Roofing & Sheet Metal; 07c Applied Fire Protection; 08a Doors Frames & hardware; 08b Sectional Doors; 08c Aluminum Glass & Glazing; 09a Drywall & Metal Framing; 09b Tiling; 09c Acoustical Ceilings & Treatments; 09d Resilient Flooring & Carpet; 09e Paint & Wallcovering; 10 Operable Partitions; 12 Window Treatments; 14 Elevators; 21 Fire Protection Sprinklers; 22 Plumbing; 23 HVAC, 26 Electrical & Low Voltage; 32a Asphalt Paving; 32b Pavers & Segmental Walls; 32c Landscape & Irrigation; 32d Fencing & Gates.

All interested contractors need to contact the Construction Manager noted below to be placed on the bidders list.

Helen M Plum Memorial Public Library District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept the bid from the lowest responsive, responsible bidder which is considered to be in the best interest of the District. All bids are to be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders as noted in the Project Manual. All bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond equal to 10% of the bid amount, and the successful bidder will also be required to furnish a 100% Payment and Performance Bond as noted in the Bid Documents.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday @ 2:00pm June 1st, virtually. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. This meeting will be held virtually use the following Link:

Bid Opening will be held in person at the Lombard Village Hall Board Room at approximately 2:15 with a limited number of attendees as well as online for those who will not attend in person. – See instruction to bidders for link to view the bid opening online.
