Event Details

Janis Forte will teach you how to follow a research path to uncover new record sets. Learn to access abstracted individual pension files and certify the formerly enslaved ancestor, their family, and their enslaver(s). Learn to conduct follow-up research on the applicant and prepare a biography of the person formerly enslaved. You will also develop new strategies to advance your research project.
